Blog Post 6 - Ben Daniels
Completed
- Since the demo, I have focused on some simple improvements and patching some holes in our game. Any changes present in the completed section wholly or partially reflect feedback from playtests, which I put on the to-do for the last blog post.

- This is more since the last post before the demo, but I added the air arena background and foreground art, and I added the water arena background

- Water arena has a mine implemented
- This explodes when it touches anything but the ground and the water on the water arena, which leads to some interesting mechanics.
- There is an ongoing bug (which I will include in my to-do), in which the fire arena will spawn a mine at the start. I have a few ideas on fixes as of right now.

- Small changes to the Finite State Machines of a few characters to ensure that the idle animation is the default state for them
- Each character has a different set of checks, so it only applied to Terrario and Gloopy

- This is probably the easiest but most impactful change I have made for this game. One of the worst parts about playing was getting stuck on walls and floors at random points. However, after applying a new unity collider component and randomly choosing a value, everything magically works. I have no idea why this is, but it hasn't caused any problems so I'm just going to not touch it.

- As Ethan did the tutorial, I added the text for a few characters and implemented the list of controls so players would know how to play.
- We decided to change the player two controls. I made one set of changes, and me and Ethan agreed on a second set of changes using a mirrored layout with ijkl as the movement keys.

- Pretty much what it sounds like. Small changes to the timer between arenas, cooldowns, damage values, particle amounts, etc. Small bug fixes include Murray bullets going through walls and Terrario's first ability not applying damage.

- Possible ideas include variable arena order, which Ethan will likely say something about, further control changes if the current binds prove unintuitive, and further balance changes should any character prove to be too good or too bad. I didn't add these to the card since I will update it when those ideas come from people.
